Aquarium Hang-on Power Filters are primarily used for freshwater fish tanks. All TRUVU Aquariums Freshwater Acrylic Aquariums include a filter slot cut out in the top of the aquarium. The hang-on power filter literally hangs on the acrylic aquarium through the filter slot. These filters are normally used on aquariums 100 gallons and under. Larger aquariums will benefit by utilizing a canister filter. There are several size power filters. Each TRUVU Freshwater Acrylic Aquarium features the proper size slot opening to accommodate the hang on filter for the aquarium gallons.
