TRUVU Hoods

Our most basic aquarium hood is a "Blank" hood ( a hood only, less fixture) This option allows you to choose from 3rd party "conversion kit" lighting systems. Our "Single Fixture" option includes a single fixture installed in the hood. Our "Dual Fixture" option includes two fixtures installed in the hood. Note: We do not install more than two fixtures in our hoods.(Dual Fixtures are not available in the model 12-1 and 18-1 hoods) The final option available is our "VFLP" ( Vacuum Formed Light Plate ). A Vacuum formed light plate is a clear impact resistant opening cover that may be ordered in place of a "Blank Hood". The VFLP is utilized in the application of after market 3rd party "Reef" lighting. The VFLP will transmit your light without blocking UV as well as keep moisture and evaporation down to a minimum.
