Selecting the correct aquarium light can be a little intimidating. If you’re not sure of what aquarium light is the right choice for your aquarium set up we have put together some very basic aquarium lighting guidelines to get you started. Freshwater aquariums, saltwater aquariums and reef aquariums all have different aquarium lighting requirements.
Freshwater aquarium basic guidelines: The following aquarium lights are used, T-12, and T-5 aquarium lighting fixtures, power compact aquarium lights. Saltwater aquarium lighting: power compact aquarium lights, T-5 and aquarium LED lighting. Reef aquarium lights: T-5, compact aquarium lights, aquarium LED lighting, metal halide aquarium lights and HQI metal halide lights.
